Rest and Peace in a Weary World

This was a post I shared a couple of years ago.  I thought it was worth saving and repeating.

There is a lot of worry, pain, frustration, and unrest in these days. Do you see it? Are you experiencing it?
As I rock this little one to sleep, I am so thankful for the quiet time. For a few moments, life seems to slow down. I need this time, maybe even more than the baby does. It's just the two of us while our music plays. I stare at his precious face, and I pray. I may have silly dreams of a slide in the house, but my dreams for my children are far greater and of much more significance. My heart's cry rarely seems to spill out into the words needed for my family's needs and for our country, but I can speak the name of Jesus.

"The only name with the power to save, Jesus."

Man will always fall short. Even those whom we love and esteem fail us, but His love is perfect. He is all we need. As I long and pray for God's goodness and healing to be known in the midst of the struggle for myself, for my husband, for my children, and for you, I say His name. Jesus.

You are loved. Listen and pray with me for our families and for our nation!
