This is still one of my favorite pictures for Father's Day. This is my husband and our oldest. We were brand new parents, fumbling our way through our days the best we knew how. Our baby boy adored his Daddy. (He still does.) The pacifier was tossed aside, unneeded in this moment. All Stephen needed was his Dad. His Father was enough. Following our baby boy's eyes and hands, we can see that he's studying this special man. And do you see Dad's expression toward his son? It's pure love and delight. He'd do anything for his child.
Dads,
The look in your eyes,
the touch of your hand,
the provisions of your labor,
the word of encouragement spoken,
the protection in your arms,
the love in your heart,
the hope you carry,
and the way you lead-
You make all the difference!
Take your heavenly Father's hand, as your little ones grab ahold of yours.
