Do you know how wonderfully made you are?

Today's our last group homeschool class of the year.  We started our own group two years ago when options were slim.  Now, our options are booming again. We likely will not continue, but it served its purpose.

Look at your hands.  Feel the muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments.  Think about all the ways you use your hands.  Life would be so much more difficult without them!

I will be sharing the video below.  It is technical.  However, it will show how we're really only scratching the surface of the amazing creation the Lord has made with such care and purpose in our human bodies.  I was hoping for a video that was geared more towards our kids' ages (our class is mostly Kindergarten through 8th), but the older kids will pull some from it, and it's short.  I liked the visual and labels.  I'll likely speed it up since it's a little dry and then pause at times to see if they can find that part on their hands or if they can perform the motion described.

Then we will be making our own model.

You can find the directions for the "robotic hand craft" here.

It is definitely not a perfect representation.  It may even get a little frustrating at times for the smaller hands working on it.  We will appreciate that we don't have to make our own bodies because our perfect Creator has that covered!  Man's models and attempts at recreating (or making it better) will never compete with God's amazing greatness!  He knew we'd need hands, He knew what we'd use them for, and He made them intentionally- far beyond what we could've dreamed up.  This is just our hand!  He has done this for our entire body!  Fascinating!

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."  Psalm 139:14
