Back to the Basics- Back to our Purpose (1)

"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."  Genesis 1:27

"You are worthy, our Lord and God,

to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being."

Revelation 4:11

In a world where we are told that we can be anything- are we, just ...anything?  Can we change our gender or claim to be an animal?  Or, were we intentionally designed by a loving Creator?  Can man's ideas improve upon on God's design?  Should mothers have the choice to end their unborn child's life?  Did He make a mistake when He made you, when He made me, when He made my child?

I am being pulled to get back to the basics.  If we have questions about the creation, we better get to know the Creator!  The video below beautifully gets back to the basics.

(360) With Him | DEVOTIONAL | Roots and Refuge Farm - YouTube

She shares this at 19:12 (but the entire chat is worth a listen), and she says it so well:  "When humanity was created, there was no need for ministry as we know it because there was no separation from God.  And in fact, if we look at when humanity was created, humanity was created for relationship and to be worshippers and to be image bearers and to be friends of God.  And, when Jesus came, and He redeemed that, He redeemed what was broken and He took back what was broken, He was actually setting right His creation with what it was created to be... which is in relationship with Him.  And now of course, we live in so much brokenness.  You know, we witness so much brokenness, and we can come up with all kinds of efforts and justice movements and all these things to set right the wrongs in the world... and we will be called in our lifetime to set right wrongs... that's just true.  In the overflow of becoming whole is that you create wholeness around you, but the root of that has to be that we came back to what we were created to be, which is loved, in relationship, and chosen, and to be a reflection of love, to be ...umm...living in wholeness and to be living in the fullness of what it is we were made for.  And... that original design and that original intention... umm.. when we get into this mindset of like striving of what we have to do and going after ... (acorns falling on her head interruption, haha)... So when we get into the original design of what it is that we were made for, like we will right wrongs, we will create wholeness.  We will bring that, and I've been able to see such a testament of that in my own life. You know, even in my best intentions, in my frustration of wanting to be able to have a different devotional life and be able to have a different place of revelation and wanting to be able to accomplish more.  Really that whole time, I feel like what God was speaking into my heart and what He finally brought me to was like, 'I really just want to know you. I want you to know how much I love you, and I want to be close to you, and I want you to see...umm, my desire for the earth, and for humanity, for the cosmos...'

...I feel that right now people are just living with such a massive amount of hopelessness, and the solution umm... is for them to understand how chosen that they are, it's for them to know how precious that they are.  Every single person living on the earth is so massively chosen and precious.  Umm, and He has so much identity to speak over each of them, but the posture that we get that identity from is whenever we enter into the intimacy of relationship."

He made you.  He knows you.  He loves you.  You are "so massively chosen and precious."  If you have questions, get to know the One who has the answers.
